Superyacht Crew Therapist
My name is Naomi, and as a Superyacht Crew Therapist, I provide confidential, professional therapeutic support specifically for people working in the yachting industry.
My aim is to give crew a safe space away from the demands of the yacht, to talk openly, work through challenges and look after their mental and emotional states.
Therapy can be helpful whether you're struggling with something significant or simply feeling that life has become difficult to manage.
I support crew with issues including:
- Stress, overwhelm and burnout
- Anxiety and low mood
- Relationship and interpersonal difficulties
- Crew conflict and challenging dynamics onboard
- Homesickness, loneliness and isolation
- Difficult experiences at sea or on board
- Confidence, self-esteem and personal development
- Managing the pressures of a demanding career
- Life and career transitions
- Adjusting to life on land after working onboard
You don't need to wait until you're struggling to reach out, in fact you can use support as strategy and not as a last resort. Therapy can also provide a confidential space to reflect, reset and develop healthier ways of managing the demands of yacht life.
A space that's genuinely yours
When you live and work alongside the same people 24/7, finding somewhere to switch off can be difficult.
Therapy offers a confidential space where you don't have to be the crew member, department head, officer, partner, friend or professional. You can simply be yourself.
Sessions can be accessed remotely, making support available wherever your career takes you.
Understanding the yachting world
Working with someone who understands the realities of the superyacht industry can make a real difference.
My work is focused on the people behind the yachts. The crew who keep everything running while often putting their own needs second.
>Whether you're new to yachting, in the middle of a demanding season, dealing with a difficult situation onboard, or wondering what comes next in your career, you don't have to navigate it alone.
