Chief Engineer (Min Y2)

A suitably qualified chief engineer is required for a 45m+ motor vessel currently located in the Middle East. This is a 6-month contract with the opportunity to renew or become permanent. The ideal candidate is to hold a Y2 (or equivalent) certification and must be ready to travel this week and join ASAP. The role will be primarily to ensure the vessel is kept in top condition and ready for owner trips when needed. There is an opportunity for the right engineer to secure a long-term role, depending on the suitability with the vessel.

The start date for this role is immediate. You must be vaccinated for COVID-19.

Job Specification

• Valid STCW '10 Certificates
• Valid ENG1 Medical with no restrictions
• Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (PDSD)
• Minimum 2+ Years in similar role and rank experience
• Minimum Y2 or equivalent
• Must show strong mechanical and electrical ability
• Helpful and willing to work as a team player
• MTU experience is advantageous
• Good health and good sobriety
• Must speak fluent English
• Must have good written references and contact details must be provided
• Must be vaccinated for COVID-19
• No visible tattoos
