Chief Engineer- 40m Private/Charter MY – Sydney, Whitsundays, Pacific

Position Snapshot
• MED 1 COC minimum
• $130,000-$140,000 AUD / Year + Super (DOE, negotiable) + tips
• Live onboard or ashore (when in Sydney)

A high profile 40m Private/Charter MY is on the search for a new chief engineer to work with the vessel on a fulltime basis for Sydney summer and beyond
Powered by twin MTU engines, the vessel has been well looked after and the incoming chief engineer will receive an adequate handover and orientation.
The vessel will operate both day & term charters over the Sydney summer and will look to cruise the Whitsundays or Pacific over the winter months.
There is a fun & active team onboard, and the chief engineer should be looking to contribute to a positive team environment.
Yard times are undertaken in either Brisbane or Gold Coast with no major projects scheduled
The yacht may consider a seasonal chief engineer for Sydney summer but preference for permanent.

The Ideal Candidate
• MED 1, EOOW or MEC3 COC
• Work rights in Australia
• STCW & Seafarer medical
• Previous sole/chief or 2nd engineer experience
• Superyacht experience preferable but may consider commercial only
• Hands on engineer
• Diligent with preventive maintenance measures
• Maintain records, logs & checks
• Can work within a professional team
• Understands hospitality focus of superyacht charter
