We are urgently recruiting for a Chief Engineer to join a large private vessel in Dubai. The right candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the engine room operation, safety, inventory and all maintenance. Must be skilled at troubleshooting and have knowledge of the wide variety of engineering systems onboard as well as effectively plan for repairs or refits during routine maintenance. Leadership, management and training will also play a big role. 

Responsibilities

  • Engine room operations
  • Engineering inventory
  • Maintaining the yacht's entire engineering operations
  • Managing and supervising repairs and rehauls
  • Manage and train other engineers and deck crew
  • Plan maintenance schedule for major systems

Ideal Candidate

  • Technical and troble shooting experience
  • Advance knowledge of all systems onboard such as engines, generators, water makers, refrigeration, air con, hydraulics, fuel polishing etc..
  • Ability to organise, plan and prioritise
  • Ability to delegate and train
  • Plan for preventative maintenance

Package Salary: 33000 AED per month - tax free

Start Date: ASAP

Accommodation: crew accommodation provided

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
