(Rotation) Chief Engineer- 53m MY (New Build) Charter –NZ, South Pacific /Oz

Are you a III/2 chief engineer based in New Zealand or Australia looking for a local equal time rotation?

A 53m expedition yacht is classed as a 32 pax passenger ship and will be basing itself out of NZ, offering Superyacht style charters both in the North and South Island

MYS is on the search for a full crew compliment and the vessel would be open to couples

Current Vacancies

• Chief Engineer (MEC 2) minimum
• Chief Stewardess, 2nd, 3rd
• Chief Officer (Chief Mate Unlimited)
• OOW: (OOW unlimited)
• Deck: (able seaman, watch rating II/4)

Position Snapshot

• Rotation will be equal time for senior roles onboard
• 14 crew total (open to couples)
• Expedition Style

Itineraries will include Auckland, Queenstown, Bay of Islands, North and South Fiordland (Milford Sound, George Sound, Bligh Sound, Dusky Sound, Doubtful Sound ect)

2021 may include either the remote Kimberley in Australia or South Pacific / Tahitian Islands TBD

The Officers, Deck & Chief Engineer will join in Asia in October for crossing to New Zealand (quarantine should be done on the ship)

The interior team will join on the yacht’s arrival into New Zealand in November

The yacht is foreign flagged and open to candidate’s worldwide provided they have an Australian/NZ passport or residency

Australia or New Zealand passports or residencies are required due to ongoing operational areas.

As the vessel is fully commercial and international travelling all certificates must be current, including seafarer medical

Start: October for deck, officers and chief engineer
November for stewardesses

Salary: Depending on experience
