Cook / Chef Position - Seasonal
26 meter private motor yacht, based in Antibes cruising South of France, Italy and Croatia this summer. The yacht is under Italian flag, applicants must be eligible to work in EU.
Contract starting late March through til the end of October. Owners are often on board and we have one long trip.
The atmosphere on board is very healthy, the Stew and the Deckhand are coming back for the this coming season. The Cook / Chef will be sharing the cabin ith the Stew.
The Owners like healthy breakfasts and substantioal lunches, dinner is very light. They like to go ashore for lunches and dinners regularly. The food for the guests is mainly Mediterranean healthy cuisine, lot of vegetables and fish. A Cook / Chef that has basic culinary skills mastered, with the ability to adapt to guests requests and tweeks of the dish will do very well on board. It is expected from the candidate to be able to prepare and serve fish.
The Cook / Chef needs to manage the galley and the stock, we are in port regularly so provisioning is done often as the space on board is limited. It is expected high level of hygene and cleanliness in the galley and the storage cupboards. Because the yacht is small the Chef / Cook will help with fenders when docking.
We offer 3200 Euros per month, starting and finishing the contract in Antibes. Local candidates preferred and also willing to consider candidates within EU and cover the travel expenses for the right candidate.
Work Experience Requirements:
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications:
All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.
A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
