Chief Engineer 40m Charter MY – Sydney / South Pacific

Are you an experienced engineer holding a minimum of an MED 1?

Are you looking to build some offshore commercial sea time?

A high profile 40m charter yacht that maintains a berth in Sydney harbour is on the search for an engineer to join their team.

The yacht will be based in Sydney between 7-9 months / year with an extended trip away over the winter period.

Previous winter trips have included the Whitsundays region however in 2020 the vessel may look to venture into the South Pacific Islands.

While the yacht is based in Sydney it will be requirement of the crew to have their own accommodation ashore.

The yacht houses MTU engines that have been well looked after

The yacht will undertake a mixture of term and day charters.

Yard periods will be around the Brisbane/Gold Coast region

The Ideal Candidate

• MED 1 Minimum
• STCW
• AMSA Medical
• Engineer experience on yachts
• Very hands on
• Well presented
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong preventative maintenance skills
• Looking to progress to an MEC 3 COC and beyond
• Familiar with AMSA engineering survey requirements
• Work rights for Australia
• Own accommodation in Sydney

Salary - $110,000 AUD + Super DOE + standard Australian leave entitlements
