We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join a privately owned 70m+ yacht operating a dual-season program. With a busy Med summer ahead and the fact this is a hybrid Sole/Sous position, we are searching for a confident, self-sufficient chef who enjoys autonomy while still working alongside an experienced Executive Chef.

The role:

  • Preparing high-quality, healthy meals for up to 23 crew when guests are onboard
  • Supporting guest food preparation alongside the Executive Head Chef during trips
  • Managing the galley independently when the Executive Head Chef is away from the boat
  • Maintaining high standards of organisation, cleanliness, and provisioning
  • Hybrid role with the Executive Head Chef flying in for guest trips
  • Summer cruising itinerary includes France, Italy and Greece

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience as an established Sous Chef or Sole Chef onboard
  • Confident running a galley independently when required, including basic accounting knowledge
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Calm, proactive and self-starting approach
  • Experience producing healthy, varied crew food to a high standard

What's on offer:

  • Salary €6,500 per month DOE
  • Time-for-time rotation, approximately 6 weeks on / 6 weeks off

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
