Silver Swan is recruiting a warm, professional Chalet Couple (Chef & Host) for a private 5-bedroom chalet (600 sqm) in Val d’Isère, just minutes from the town centre. The chalet will host up to 12 guests, with the principal in residence for around 60 days throughout the season and children visiting during holiday periods.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced couple seeking a stable, enjoyable seasonal role in one of the Alps’ most iconic resorts.
Please Note: Candidates must hold an EU passport/Right to work in France prior to applying as, unfortunately, we do not offer visa sponsorship. If you do not hold an EU passport/Right to work in France upon applying, your application will NOT be considered.
Responsibilities:
Chef:

  • Prepare healthy, Mediterranean-style meals: fish, chicken, fresh vegetables, salads, etc.
  • Flexible to cater to family preferences and dietary requirements
  • Cook for up to 12 guests during peak holiday weeks
  • Manage kitchen hygiene, stock, and provisioning

Host:

  • Daily housekeeping and turn-down service
  • Table setting and meal service
  • Airport runs and local errands as required (either of the couple may drive)
  • Light laundry and general upkeep of the chalet

Ideal Candidate:

  • EU passport holders or candidates with the right to work in France only
  • Previous chalet or private household experience as a couple is highly desirable
  • Confident, relaxed, and professional in both cooking and hosting
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Discreet, respectful of privacy, and child-friendly
  • Valid driving licenses

Package:

  • Salary: €6,000 net per month (combined salary)
  • Private accommodation near the chalet
  • Ski pass provided
  • Meals are provided when on duty
  • Start Date: November 2025 until May 2026

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
