Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced, caring, fluent Italian Dog Nanny for their much-loved Spaniel (4-year-old bitch). This friendly and easy-going Spaniel is in great health and needs someone who can provide attentive care and companionship. Please note that this is initially a temporary contract (June – September 2025) with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Dog Nanny will be based in an Airbnb, close to their beautiful country home in Northern Italy, approximately 90 minutes from Milan by car. The position may also involve international travel.

Please note, whilst we appreciate personal experience with dogs, our client is looking for candidates with professional experience in dog care.

Job duties

Responsibilities of the Dog Nanny in Northern Italy include:

• Morning walk before breakfast, an additional walk in the afternoon, supper, and a bedtime walk
• Ensuring the well-being, health, and happiness of the dog
• Accompanying the dog during international travel and providing care when the principals are not in residence
• Candidates must be/have:
• The right to work in Europe
• A genuine passion for dogs and previous experience in canine care
• Willingness to travel at short notice and flexibility to adapt to different environments
• Proven background in caring for dogs, ideally in a professional capacity
• Fluency in both English and Italian

Accommodation
Separate accommodation will be provided in Italy.

During travel – an ensuite bedroom.

Hours
Full-time. Schedule depending on Principal’s schedule – flexibility will be required.

Location
Northern Italy.

Salary
€3,500 net per month, depending on experience and prior earnings.
