A high profile 48m private / charter MY is on the search for a chief engineer for the upcoming Tahiti season.
The vessel has a busy charter season ahead with plenty of bookings already confimred (Large tips expected)
The chief engineer should have some previous superyacht experience and will commit to the entire season onboard.
At the conclusion of the season the vessel will travel to Australia where the contract can conclude or continue.
The chief engineer will have the support of a deck/engineer and an experienced captain who has also operated as an engineer previously.
Will consider candidates worldwide with preference to Australian / NZ or European passport holders.

The Ideal Candidate
• Previous superyacht engineering experience
• Flexible on COC (MED 1, Y4/Y3, or EOOW, MEC3)
• Hands on with engineering
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Can maintain record books needing for commercial survey
• Strong preventative maintenance skills
• Can work with external engineering contractors
• Good forward thinking for parts/spares
• Will commit to the entire charter season
• STCW & Seafarer Medical

Start: April/May
Season: Finish November/December (or ongoing)
Salary: $7500-$8500 US (+++ Tips)
