Chief Marine Engineer

Looking for an experienced Chief Marine Engineer with ten years of practical experience to work on a Cruise ship (109m length, 15m beam, 2.3m draft with a gross total weight 3000tons) located in Lake Nasser – Upper Egypt.

The Candidate must hold a BSc degree or graduate as an Officer, Merchant Navy School with a major in Engineering.

Skills:-
• Understands Geometrical Tolerances, design pocess & manufacturing technique, vibration test methods.
• Knowledge of International Cods: ISM-SOLAS-MARBOL.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• The Candidate will be responsible for the technical procedures on board including mechanical, electrical and mechanical departments of the ship.
• Approves plans, communicate with team members, negotiate contracts and estimates project costs.
• Responsible for all operations and maintenance related to any and all ship’s mechanical equipment.
• Responsibilities also include the guidance and supervision of the ship’s personnel, including engine room personnel and ensuring the safe navigation of the ship

Personal Characteristics:
• Strong leadership skills and previous cruise ship experience as a senior engine officer.
• Excellent Knowledge of the English language orally and in writing.
