Chief Engineer- 55m private MY – Sydney (base)

Position Snapshot

• Chief Engineer (fulltime role)
• MTU Jet engines
• $170,000 AUD + SUPER / Year DOE
• Live Onboard or Ashore
• Flexible on COC

***Calling all chief engineer wanting a terrific semi-land based chief engineer position in Sydney ***

The yacht is used for strictly private use and will mostly be utilized within the Sydney Harbour region, although trips further afield are not completely off the table

The position would suit an experienced chief engineer who has done time on good programs, with longevity, who is looking for something more lifestyle orientated

The working week is typically 5 days / week with 2 days off , (but with no rotation)

Good long-standing crew in place and the chief engineer will be given a thorough handover

The Chief Engineer will also have a 2nd engineer for support, and the yacht encourages mentorship / training

MTU experience would be favourable (twin MTU engines of 3480 hp each)

The Ideal Candidate

• Flexible on ticket (MEC 3 or Y3 Level preferred)
• Good engineering time on Superyachts
• Trade Qualified preferred
• STCW
• Hands on with engineering
• Not looking for allot of offshore time
• Enjoys working with a professional team
• Meticulous with routine maintenance schedule
• Can effectively manage yard work lists
• Work rights in Australia

Start: Flexible, July / August

Salary: $170,000 AUD + Super DOE
