Position Snapshot

• AEC & Trade or Tertiary engineer background
• New Build in construction
• Working under 2 X rotational Chief Engineers

A very high profile 55m SY (Ketch) is on the search for a 2nd engineer to join their program
Replacing the outgoing 2nd engineer onboard of almost 2 years on yachts arrival into Tahiti , the 2nd engineer will receive a comprehensive handover
The vessel has a worldwide sailing itinerary that includes Tahiti, South Pacific Islands, NZ, Australia, Caribbean & Europe
Plenty of opportunity for advancement with a larger new build in construction
The vessel offers training and salary incentives for crew offering commitment and longevity
The 2nd engineer will ideally hail from an engineering background, a trade or tertiary qualification within a relevant field
The 2nd engineer should also have some tender driving experience and will be charged with looking after the 11m chase tender over guest trips

The Ideal Candidate

• AEC (minimum) + trade background or tertiary quals
• Looking to work towards the SV ticket
• Some AV / IT skills
• Can read basic electrical diagrams
• Very hands on
• Looking to learn under qualified / experienced chief engineers
• Tender driving experience
• Keen for sea miles
• Will offer commitment (that will be rewarded)

Start: Before the 25th June in Tahiti

Salary: Excellent salary package + training, leave and salary incentives
