Are you looking to join an expedition yacht with a unique focus?

Do you enjoy water sports (Diving or Fishing) & can drive tenders?

A high profile 60m private expedition motor yacht is on the search for a deckhand to join their busy program.
The yacht is utilised for both private family style trips and scientific research missions throughout the Australia, Asia & Indian Ocean regions.
Research trips can involve deep dive missions, therefore candidates with diving experience, gear setup will be highly considered.
Alternatively gun fisherman will also be held in high regard
Tender driving experience is also paramount, as the role will be very nautically hands on when on trip and not simply pushing a chamois
Maintaining a home port in Australia, candidates will need to have full work rights for Australia or NZ.
Itinerary for 2022 is evolving: West Coast Australia , top end and possibly Asia

The Ideal Candidate

• Superyacht or Commercial Experience
• Master 5 is advantageous
• Dive tickets a plus
• Interested in ocean ecology & conservation
• Is compatible with the hospitality focus of the superyacht industry
• Very hands on
• Good knowledge of yacht maintenance / detailing
• Helicopter ops also advantages
• Full work rights for Australia

Start: March 2022

Leave Package: 6 weeks annual + accrued days in lieu for weekends / public holidays

Salary: TBA (Paid within the Australian System)
