• Duel role, deck & engineering

A well run 40m private SY is on the search for a deck/engineer assistant to join their professional team
The yacht is primarily based in Sydney for summers and sails the east coast over winter, going as far as top end QLD
The Deck/Engineer Assistant can be experienced or junior as allot of on-the-job training will be provided

Having a high degree of motivation and get up and go is the primary attribute
The position can be live onboard (which is preferred) or ashore
The Deck / Engineer Assistant will support the engineer, captain & 1st officer both on deck (when cruising) and within the engine room (when alongside)
Ability to drive a small tender is paramount

The Ideal Candidate

• Deckhand experience on yachts
• Sail experience preferred but not essential
• Looking to learn the engineering basics
• Wanting to progress tickets
• Tender driving experience
• Can assist engineer in projects
• Good detailing skills
• Allot of motivation
• Work rights for Australia or NZ
• Located in either Oz or NZ (for joining)

Start: Jan/ Feb

Salary: Depending on Experience Level
