Captain/Engineer 30m Private MY – Sydney Based

• Fulltime (all year round)

• $120,000 AUD / year DOE

A soon to arrive private 30m MY into Australia is on the search for an energetic captain to join them for the tail end of summer and beyond.

The yacht will maintain a permanent based in Sydney harbour and is used strictly for private use only

The yacht will have a low usage , however the captain / engineer should be comfortable with a certain amount of standby , pending owners schedule

The captain will have a stewardess/deck for support for any guest trips

The family uses the yacht for both day and overnight excursions, Sydney harbour and Pittwater

There is the possibility the yacht may venture to the Whitsundays in the wintertime
The owner is hoping for a committed captain / manager to take ownership of the program for summer and beyond.

Will consider up and coming junior captains looking for their 1st fulltime drive

Live ashore option only in Sydney

The Ideal Captain

• Some drive time on yachts
• Master 5 or equivalent
• Preferably superyacht experience from overseas or local
• Local knowledge of Sydney harbour / anchorages
• Looking for a one yacht/owner commitment
• Can manage basic engineering and preventative maintenance
• Highly organised, good management skills
• Enjoys the hospitality side of yachting
• Will offer a firm commitment
• Work rights for Australia

Start: January / February 2022

Salary: $120,000 AUD / year DOE
