Marine Engineer

We introduced the New Era of Yachting with the help of our Innovative Solar Powered Luxury Catamarans, which are growing in popularity rapidly. Therefore, we are currently seeking an enthusiastic Marine Engineer for an immediate entry to support our successful team.

Responsibilities:

• He/she should be able to lead a team of designers & engineers and to deliver on time drawings for production and for sale purpose.
• Overseeing all safety, regulatory and certification related tasks during the design phase.
• Ensuring that the required quality of the engineering outputs supplied by the sub-contractors are delivered.
• Certifying the boat during and at the end of build activities.
• Technical design verification activities and approving procedure.
• Approving and implementing process and procedures to support the Chief Engineer's scope of work.

Qualifications:

• Post-Secondary Education in Engineering (Naval Architect or Marine Engineering preferred).
• 7 years of experience in a Marine Engineering environment at a senior level (shipyard or boat design studio).
• Experience working with a 3D model in a boat design environment.
• Experience in the shipbuilding industry (pleasure boats) considered essential.
• Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment with multiple conflicting priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills in English (further languages like Italian and German preferred).
• Comfortable with MS Office, AutoCad, 3D modelling software.
