Are you interested in joining a private sailing yacht on its world tour?

MYS are looking for an experienced and easy-going sailor with engineering skills to join 39y/o owner & friends on a round the world sailing adventure on a stunning Oyster 62.

YOU ARE..

Currently Located in NZ
Have engineering experience on yachts, both mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. You are comfortable with preventative maintenance on major vessel components from diesel engine, outboard & generator to refrigeration, AC & hydraulics. You are equally comfortable with maintaining topsides, gelcoat & brightworks.

Ideally an experienced ocean sailor with at least a few ocean crossings under your belt and equally comfortable on the watch and helm alone as you are as a proactive member of the crew on passage. Ideally you have RYA Yachmaster or equivalent.
You are friendly and down to earth with a good sense of humour and a fun & relaxed personality looking for adventure and travels.

You will get to explore some of the wildest and most remote corners of the world in a unique way with a young owner and crew on a stunning Oyster 62 as we embark on a relaxed round the world adventure. We spent little time in marinas and our itinerary includes highlights such as PNG, Raja Ampat, Myanmar, Maldives, BIOT and Madagascar. Y
Your schedule and working hours are flexible so could allow plenty of time to explore exotic destinations or enjoy the diving, water sports and the entertainment facilities onboard. Salary and terms are all negotiable to meet the needs of the ideal applicant. We will pay well above average for a vessel of this size

START DATE

This role will likely be available from early 2021 when the current Engineer will have completed 24 months, or significantly earlier due to family medical concerns. However, timing is very flexible to suit the availability of the ideal candidate & our current crew.
