Mate/Engineer 75′ SY – Charter – US, Caribbean, Mediterranean

A relaxed but professional 75’ charter sail yacht (catamaran) is looking for a Mate/engineer to join their exciting program.

Salary Engineer Package: $4000 US-$5000 US / month

$2500 per year travel fund

4 weeks paid holiday

Bonus of up to 20% of yearly salary at end of 1-year contract

Even split in charter tips

The yacht is currently in the states and will be finishing up their Caribbean charter in the next few months. Mid 2020 may involve a crossing for the European summer season.

The engineer will hold an AEC minimum, some 2nd/3rd engineer experience. Preferably with sail background, (yachtmaster ideally) who can assist on deck when required and act as relief captain on permanent skippers’ absence
The role will be about a 50:50 split with deck work required on charter and engineering work required off charter. They will form part of a crew of 4 and will be sharing cabin with a male chef.

The Ideal Candidates

Engineer experience on motor or sail
Some sailing experience , yachtmaster preferred
Strong preventative maintenance skills
STCW, ENG1
B1/B2 (or able to get at short notice)
Fun, easy going and active
Enjoys Water sports
Starting: Immediate
