Chief Engineer (Y2)(MY 70M+)

A highly competent, skilled and experienced Chief Engineer is required for a 70m+ motor yacht based in the Mediterranean Sea with a 2 season, global private and charter cruising itinerary.

This position is a unique role which will afford the correct candidate the opportunity to advance their career to the top of the industry and become a valued member of a team of industry respected maritime professionals. This role comes with the responsibility of managing the daily operation of the engineering department in a safe, efficient and structured manner, with a priority placed on effective Preventative Planned Maintenance (PPM). The ideal candidate should demonstrate a positive attitude, be hard working, diplomatic and be a team-player, focused on securing a long term position and dedicated to ensuring the expectations of the owners and the vessel are met to the highest standard. An energetic, positive attitude along with a punctual but flexible approach is required for this role. Starting in mid December 2019, all applications welcome.

Job Specification

• Valid STCW '10 Certificates
• Valid ENG1 Medical with no restrictions
• Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (PDSD)
• Minimum Certificate of Competency (COC) - Y2
• Minimum 3+ Years experience on 50M+ vessel
• Experience with CATERPILLAR Mains and Power Plant machinery advantageous
• Knowledge and experience with IDEA Planned Maintenance System
• Good health and good sobriety, preferably non-smoker
• Must have driving Licence
• Must speak excellent English i.e. 100% Fluent
• Must have good written references and contact details must be provided.
