Chief Engineer – 150’ Private MY- South Pacific, Caribbean, Mediterranean

A private 150’ MY, about to start a world tour from Australia is looking for a new Chief Engineer to join their team.
The yacht is run to an extremely high standard and incorporates a full ISM
Joining a crew of 9 the Chief Engineer will oversee the complete technical operation of the vessel, Engines, Generators, Systems, Logs/Records, Watches, AV/IT, Yard times, Parts/Spares ect
Upcoming Itinerary in Australia will include Whitsundays, Sydney and Melbourne for the lead up to summer.
From Australia the yacht will continue on a world voyage bound for Florida with the intention for an owner’s trip in the tail end of the Caribbean season.
Future cruising will also consist of both Western & Eastern Med
Will also take expressions of interest from Chief Engineers coupled with either - Stewardesses / Chefs / Bosuns

The Ideal Candidate will

• Chief Engineer experience on vessels 40m +
• Flexible on ticket, MCA Y tickets, Commercial MEC 3 but will also consider AMSA MED 1
• Ideally have full work rights for Australia or New Zealand (for Visa)
• Very hands on with strong technical knowledge
• Meticulous with checks and preventative maintenance
• Effective project management skills
• Good forward thinking with regards to spares/servicing for world cruise
• STCW and seafarer medical
• Looking to forge a lasting working relationship with a terrific owner

Start Date- August 2019

Salary- $12, 380 AUD / Year DOE, TRP (then switching to US dollars, post departure from Australia) negotiable + medical + flights + standard MLC leave entitlements (no rotation)
