Chief Engineer 40m+ Charter Yacht – Australia, Fiji, Solomon Is, PNG

Are you an experienced engineer looking to join a water sports orientated boat, big on diving & fishing?

40m+ Motor Yacht is looking for an experienced engineer to join their crew of 7.

The yacht is in survey and takes the occasional term charter but is largely used privately with the owner and friends

The yacht maintains a permanent base in the South Pacific

Upcoming itinerary will include the Whitsundays for 7-8 months with the likelihood for Fiji, Solomon Islands or East PNG. TBD

The engineer will also be an effective manager and be able to keep on top of paperwork, including logs, monthly reports & weekly and monthly checks

Engines MTU V16, John Deer Gens, Northern Light Alternators

The position is live onboard

The Ideal Candidate

• MED 1 or MEOL minimum (Y4 preferred)
• Superyacht Experience
• Enjoys a boat with water sports emphasis
• Strong preventative maintenance skills
• Can manage yard periods effectively and scope of works
• Can keep a tidy engine room and stores
• Computer skills
• Meticulous with checks and logs
• Basic IT skills
• Water skills/ dive ticket an advantage
• Can assist across departments when required (bridge watches, tender ect)

Start- When available

Salary- $110,000 AUD / Year, Inclusive of Super, Standard Australian leave package
