SECTRE is looking for a second engineer on a fully rotational basis for a newly built large motor yacht. The yacht is currently based in the Mediterranean. The suitable candidate should have a minimum of 2 years experience working on similar vessels and should be capable of problem solving on their own. Preference will be given to candidates with commercial tickets (III/3 minimum) but candidates with yachting equivalent tickets will be considered (i.e. Y2/Y3 or higher). Ideally the second engineer should provide adequate cover for the chief engineer. The vessel is currently used on a private basis. Great opportunity to work on a new vessel with the latest systems. Job Specification

  • Knowledge of general systems onboard: diesels, refrigeration, air conditioning, plumbing, electronics/electricals and outboards
  • Responsibly ensure safety in engine room and vessel for items related to engineering requirements
  • Problem solve and work on an ad hoc basis
  • Assist chief with planned maintenance across vessel
  • Perform watch duties in an effective and efficient manner
  • Fast learner, eager and able to hit the ground running

Language Requirements:

Certificates and Qualifications:
