Are you an experienced Sous Chef available for an immediate start?
Do you enjoy off the beaten track cruising?
A terrific opportunity has opened up for an experienced Sous Chef to join this world-wide travelling expedition vessel.
The yacht will be cruising the South Pacific area for the next month before making its way to Samoa.
From there the yacht will head towards the US for the winter season
The yacht operates a fairly busy schedule and the Sous Chef must be happy with allot of time off the beaten track.
The Chef must also be available for an immediate start. Will consider a temp chef for a 1-month contract (if unable to find the right fulltime chef)
The Sous Chef will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef with guest meals while also looking after meals for the crew
The Ideal Candidate
- Culinary trained with either yacht chef experience or good restaurant background
- Must have B1/B2 visa (for fulltime, or eligible to get at short notice)
- STCW, ENG 1
- Experience with wide variety of cuisines
- Looking to learn from an experienced yacht head chef
- Can keep clean and organised stores
- Can maintain a clean and hygienic work station
- Can assist with ordering and provisioning
- Friendly, up-beat personality who enjoys adventure
- Available for an immediate start
- Candidates within the Australia/New Zealand/Asia region will be highly considered
Start Date- Immediate
Salary
- Fulltime $4500-$5000 US / month + Standard seafarer entitlements
- Freelance- From $200 US / day but can go up for the right experience
