Are you an experienced engineer looking to get off the beaten track?

A high-profile charter sail catamaran that is currently doing a circumnavigation is on the search for an engineer with sail experience to join their team.

The yacht operates a fulltime crew of 4 but takes on a crew of 6-7 for passages/deliveries.

The engineer will have their own cabin on board and will need to assist on deck with watches on delivery when required

While the yacht is a charter vessel there is no specific engineer ticket required however candidates with a trade background or mechanical engineering degree will be highly regarded.

The yacht has an extensive sailing itinerary ahead including Coco’s Keeling, Mauritius, Africa, Brazil, Caribbean and onto Bermuda.

The Ideal Candidate

• Yacht engineer experience
• Trade background favourable
• Sailing experience, recreationally or professionally  
• Strong preventative maintenance skills
• Can assist with deck/ watch duties when required
• STCW
• Fun loving, adventurous, enjoys getting amongst the locations visited  
• Good problem-solving aptitude
• Can plan ahead with parts and stores

Start Date- Between the 15th – 20th August 2018

Salary package- $4000 -$5000 US / month DOE, yearly performance bonus of 10-20% of yearly salary

4 weeks paid annual leave  + $2500 US travel allowance
