2nd Chef for 120-m Private MY in UAE (CHUM)

This lovely travelling private Superyacht is seeking an experienced 2nd Chef to work closely with the Head Chef on board.  You will have private experience on 80-m+ yachts or passenger vessels and be knowledgeable in Mediterranean cuisine.  Candidates with Arabic, Asian and pastry cuisine knowledge will be favored.

The following Qualifications are mandatory for all applicants:

• Valid passport
• Valid ENG1
• Valid SDB (valid 6 months)
• Valid STCW
• Proficiency in designated security duties certificate
• Crowd and Crisis control Passenger Safety Certificate
• Ship’s Cook Certificate/ Chef Degree
• Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2
• Vaccination card with Yellow Fever and Hep B vaccines (further health tests as may be requested)
• 3 written references (preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

• At least 2 season’s experience on a 80m+ yacht, cruise or river ships in a similar role
• Exceptional culinary knowledge, style and presentation skills, including a broad knowledge of international cuisine and techniques
• Mediterranean cuisine knowledge is a must
• Must have excellent knowledge of food safety, storage, general health standards, and nutrition.
• Enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude
• Ability to work well under pressure. Remain calm and courteous at all times.
• Ability to adapt quickly to change arising from the unpredictable nature of the vessel’s program or itinerary
• Be able to work long hours under pressure for many days
• To have basic computer knowledge to be able to do orders and provisioning
• To be very well organized with exceptional work ethic and clean practices.

• Male only due to cabin arrangements

SALARY/PACKAGE               6000 EUR per month

LEAVE                                    122 days leave per year and 2 economy return flights per year
