Are you an experienced engineer who holds a Y3 or equivalent?
Joining a crew of 9, the chief engineer will join in Phuket for a thorough hand over with the other rotational chief engineer.
The yacht is currently alongside undergoing some touch ups in Thailand with works including an interior refit, pipework, ac units & interior upholstery
After the yard time the yacht will be heading to Langkawi and Singapore in January, before returning to its home port in Indonesia.
The vessel has a private dock on a private island in a remote location and the crew must be ok with remote Island living
The yacht will often have guests on board for one or two days on the weekend, occasionally do longer trips to Lombok and Komodo.
The crew will have full use of a villa on the island and large swimming pool, as well as the local islands to explore when no guests are on board.
The right candidate needs to be comfortable in an isolated location, and capable, to come up with solutions.
Crew are multi-national, British, Australian, Kiwi, Filipino stewardess, Indonesian deckhand. 9 in total
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a Y3 or Equivalent
- Will have some previous yacht experience on vessels 40-50m
- Have good technical knowledge
- Can work within a dynamic team
- Good communication skills and record keeping
The yacht is open to candidates of any nationality worldwide however candidates within a short flight of joining will also be highly considered
Start Date: Immediate
Location: ASIA, Predominantly Indonesia
Salary: $6700 US / Month + Flights (Paid all year round)
Rotation: 10 weeks on 10 weeks off
Preference to candidates with a home base in New Zealand, Australia or Asia
