Join this highly professional team on this beautiful expedition style motoryacht cruising the West Australian coast from Fremantle to Broome and beyond, including the Montebello and Abroholos Islands.

Due to the remote destinations and time spent at sea the successful candidate must be very practical minded with a methodical approach to problem solving. Technical skills and experience are required with Caterpillar Engines, Kohler John Deere Generators, Sea Recovery Watermaker systems, Hamman Treatment systems and good working knowledge of all AC and DC Electrical including A/Sea transformers.

The vessel will be away from major service centres for long stretches of time so the ability to be self-sufficient and provide servicing requirements to all plant and machinery is a must.

The successful candidate will have the following Qualifications, Experience and Attributes:

  • Marine Engineering qualifications: Minimum MED II or higher AMSA qualifications
  • Experience as a Sole Engineer on similar sized yachts – chartering experience highly regarded
  • Trade background preferred
  • Confident in your abilities and be a quick thinker
  • STCW Basic Safety Training including Security Awareness Training for seafarers
  • Valid Seafarers Medical fitness certificate (or ENG1 or AMSA)
  • Good practical skills – this is a ‘hands on’ role
  • A team player – happy to assist on deck and with watch-keeping!
  • Well-presented and articulate
  • Fit and energetic non-smoker, with no visible tattoos

Salary & Leave: According to Industry standards in Australia and negotiable based upon experience. Australian working conditions.
