We are looking for energetic and experienced Deckhands to maintain this fleet of three lovely new yachts in Japan ranging from 62ft to 76ft to 100ft.
This is a full-time position where you will work the yachts between two marinas together with a team of stewardesses, so if you’re looking for a team/couple job this one could be for you! Shore-side accommodation will be provided together with assistance with Visas if required.
Our client is looking for youthful, energetic crew with a fresh and positive attitude who also know the meaning of good service and can demonstrate a solid work ethic. We are also looking for Stewardesses and the owners accept ‘coupled’ applicants.
Qualifications and Desired Attributes:
- Preferably minimum 1-2 years’ experience within the yachting industry
- Deckhand training course an advantage
- Yachtmaster course an advantage
- Tender driving skills + Powerboat Level 2 course or equivalent
- PWC license would be a plus
- Good practical skills: must have previous experience working with paint systems, varnishing and on deck cleaning products
- Previous experience in line-handling, splicing, mooring, anchoring and watch-keeping
- Well-groomed personal presentation
- Positive and happy personality, well-spoken
- Current STCW Basic Safety Training certificates
- Valid ENG1 Seafarers Medical fitness certificate (or equivalent medical certificate)
- Any Japanese language skills would be advantageous but not mandatory

Work Experience Requirements:
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.
Language Requirements:
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications:
All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.
A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
