About This role

Temporary Crew Chef – Private 49m M/Y

We are looking for an experienced, organised and reliable Crew Chef for a temporary position aboard a motor yacht. The ideal candidate will be confident preparing healthy, varied and nutritious meals for the crew, managing provisioning and maintaining high standards of galley hygiene.

Start date: 15 November 2026 – 30 April 2027
Itinerary: Mediterranean
Package: Salary in Euros, 38 days paid leave

Experience/Skills required:

  • Previous experience as a Crew Chef on yachts or in a similar professional catering environment
  • Confident preparing varied, balanced and nutritious crew meals
  • Excellent organisation, menu planning and provisioning skills
  • Able to work independently, manage budgets and maintain a clean, efficient galley
  • Positive attitude, flexible and a good team player
  • European passport and valid EU driving licence (essential)

Qualifications required:

  • STCW Basic Safety Training (fully updated)
  • Seafarer’s Medical Certificate (ENG1 or equivalent)
  • Food Hygiene Levels 1, 2 and 3 (valid)
  • Ship’s Cook Certificate
  • Seaman’s Discharge Book (preferred)

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
