We are seeking a Head Chef to join a 55m+ private vessel in French Polynesia. Working within a team of two, you will be in charge of ensuring the smooth running of the galley department.

The role:

  • Head up all guest food operations, adapting to the family's preferences and create a seamless service.
  • Mentor an experienced Sous Chef, providing a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Prepare relaxed, family-style meals with an American influence.
  • Well-organised handover with provisioning already completed.
  • Start date will be early August.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum 1 year's experience as Head Chef on a similar-sized vessel or Sole Chef on 40m+.
  • We may consider an experienced Sous Chef ready to step up who has prior Senior experience in restaurants.
  • Strong restaurant background.
  • Confident working independently.
  • Professional, organised and adaptable.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
