Magnitude Recruitment is seeking an experienced Temporary Sous Chef to join the galley team onboard a prestigious 100m+ private motor yacht.

The vessel is currently based in the South of France, and an immediate start is required. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented chef to join a highly professional galley team delivering exceptional cuisine to the Owner, guests, and crew. All flights and travel arrangements will be organised and covered by the vessel.

The Role

Working closely with the Head Chef, the Sous Chef will assist in the day-to-day running of the galley, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and organisation are consistently maintained.

The successful candidate will be passionate about fine dining, adaptable across a variety of cuisines, and confident working in a fast-paced, high-end yachting environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef with the daily operation of the galley
  • Prepare and present exceptional meals for the Owner, guests, and crew
  • Produce high-quality dishes across a variety of international cuisines
  • Support menu planning, provisioning, stock control, and inventory management
  • Maintain impeccable galley hygiene in accordance with HACCP standards
  • Assist with ordering, receiving, and storing provisions
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented to luxury hospitality standards
  • Work collaboratively with the interior team to deliver seamless guest service
  • Support the Head Chef during guest trips, events, and busy operational periods

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef onboard a motor yacht or within a luxury hospitality environment
  • Experience onboard a 60m+ yacht is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of fine dining, international cuisine, and modern cooking techniques
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining exceptional standards
  • Positive attitude with a flexible and team-oriented approach
  • Valid STCW Basic Safety Training
  • Valid ENG1 Medical
  • Food Safety & Hygiene qualification preferred
  • Immediate availability is essential
