We are seeking a temporary Officer to join a 75m private expedition yacht operating a world-cruising, off-the-beaten-track itinerary. This is an opportunity for an experienced Navigational Officer to gain significant bridge time while cruising remote regions as part of a demanding expedition programme.

The role:

  • Temporary contract from 20th July – 1st October.
  • Predominantly a navigational officer role, leading bridge watches and supporting extensive night passages.
  • Assist with a range of bridge, operational, and deck duties outside of watchkeeping.
  • Expedition-style private programme with extensive sea time and remote cruising.
  • Upcoming itinerary includes remote cruising between Canada, Greenland, and Northern Europe.
  • This is a hardworking programme suited to someone who enjoys challenging operations and world-cruising.

What we’re looking for:

  • OOW 3000gt minimum (Chief Mate preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as an Officer with extensive watchkeeping experience.
  • Previous experience in remote cruising essential.
  • Basic Polar Code certification preferred; Advanced Polar Code and higher CoC highly desirable.
  • Passport or visa permitting entry into Canada.
  • Motivated, adaptable, and keen to be part of a demanding expedition programme with significant bridge responsibility.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
