We have a 45m+ private/charter MY seeking a Chief Engineer to join them ASAP. The vessel operates between the Mediterranean and Caribbean with both private and charter use. This is a great opportunity for a talented and adaptable Chief Engineer to join a new project and make the engine room their own.

The role:

  • Manage all onboard systems, routine maintenance and repairs to ensure efficient, reliable operation.
  • Lead the engineering team and mentor a Deck/Engineer.
  • Troubleshoot technical faults and implement preventative maintenance programmes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Support smooth operations during private and charter periods.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven Chief Engineer experience on similar sized yachts (45m+).
  • Relevant engineering certification, minimum Y3.
  • Strong troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
  • Confident mentoring ability for junior engineering/deck staff.
  • B1/B2 visa preferred.

  • Salary €9,000 - €9,500 per month.
  • 60 days leave and a dual-season programme with private/charter split.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
