Full-Time Yacht Chef — Private 34M Motor Yacht

We are seeking a full-time Chef for an established owner program with an excellent rotation / time-off structure.

This is a private, non-charter yacht with an active cruising program and a strong focus on owner experience, quality, consistency, and teamwork.

The owner is Italian and is looking for a chef with strong experience in Italian cuisine, as well as good working knowledge of Japanese cuisine, including clean, fresh, healthy dishes, sushi/sashimi-style preparation, seafood, light broths, rice dishes, and modern Asian presentation.

This is not a charter “show-off” food program. The right chef should be able to cook elegant, high-quality, flavorful food that feels fresh, healthy, and personal to the owner and guests.

What Makes This Position Attractive

The vessel offers a very attractive leave structure: 20 days off every third month, with salary paid consistently throughout the year.

This gives the chef meaningful time away from the vessel while still being part of a stable, long-term private program.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a chef who is:

* Strong in authentic Italian cooking
* Comfortable with Japanese cuisine and fresh seafood preparation
* Organized with provisioning, inventory, menu planning, and galley cleanliness
* Capable of cooking healthy owner-style meals, not just rich or heavy dishes
* Calm, professional, and easy to work with
* Able to plan ahead and communicate clearly with the Captain and interior team
* Interested in helping build a great long-term program, not just filling a seat

Program Style

The yacht is owner-focused and privately used. The chef should understand that the food program is an important part of the owner experience.

The goal is simple: excellent food, thoughtful menus, clean execution, and consistency.

The right person will have room to grow with the program and help shape the galley, menus, provisioning standards, and onboard dining experience.
