About This role

2nd Chef 55m busy private M/Y

Start Date: 16th of June 2026

Location: Northern Red Sea
Package: Salary in euros, 38 days’ included

Experience and attributes required :

  • Minimum 1 years yachting experience with prior restaurant/ chalet experience favoured
  • Excellent attention to detail, hygiene and food safety
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work without supervision. As head chef works 12 hour opposing shifts.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and remain calm at all times
  • Team player as working in team with Head chef
  • Experience and knowledge of diverse international cuisines

Qualifications required:

  • Ship's cook certificate (preferred)
  • STCW fully updated
  • Security awareness and PDSD
  • Seafarer’s Medical Certificate (with 6 months’ validity)
  • Food and Hygiene Level 2 minimum
  • Seaman’s Discharge Book

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
