We are looking for a Sole Cook/Chef to join a 24m 4-cabin British-flagged private motor yacht based in Turkey for the summer season.

This is a seasonal position, starting around May/June for an initial 90-day period, with the possibility to continue until the end of September depending on the yacht’s itinerary, mutual agreement, and travel/entry arrangements.

The yacht is privately operated and offers a friendly onboard environment. The Cook/Chef will be responsible for preparing meals for guests and crew, managing provisioning, and keeping the galley clean and organized.

The Cook/Chef will live onboard and share a cabin with the female Stewardess.

Main Responsibilities

  • Preparing daily meals for guests and crew
  • Menu planning
  • Provisioning and stock control
  • Galley organization and cleanliness
  • Preparing fresh, healthy, Mediterranean-style meals
  • Accommodating dietary requirements when needed
  • Working as part of a small crew and assisting with general onboard duties when required
  • Previous experience as a cook, private chef, yacht cook/chef, villa chef, restaurant cook, or in hospitality is preferred.

Requirements

Candidates should have:

  • Valid passport
  • Fluent or strong English
  • Positive attitude and professional presentation
  • Good references
  • Ability to work well in a small team
  • Availability from May/June
  • Ability to enter Turkey and join the yacht as crew
  • Experience preparing meals for guests and crew
  • Ability to plan menus and manage provisioning
  • STCW Basic Safety Training certificate preferred
  • Seaman’s Book / Seafarer’s Book is a plus
  • ENG1 or equivalent medical certificate is a plus
  • Food hygiene / food safety certificate is a plus

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
