PRIVATE YACHT.

Currently 5 crew.  Will operate with 7 crew once we start moving from San Diego with owners.

Deckhand will eventually share a cabin with another crew member.

Presently in San Diego, California.

Boat is for sale.  Very interested party recently made offer which was accepted.  Survey etc. to take place soon.  Maybe Mexico or Vancouver/Seattle/San Francisco for the rest of the summer?

Salary:

US$ 3000.00/months for the first 3 months probation. After successful completion of the 3 months the salary will increase to $3500,-/month

General Search criteria for crew:

ABSOLUTELY NON SMOKER.  No ‘Social smokers’.

• MUST have AT LEAST 3 months experience on a sail yacht of 100’ plus. MUST have Basic STCW, ENG1 and a B1B2 Visa.
• No tattoos which are visible when wearing uniform under normal circumstances.
• No ear rings (except females), tongue studs, nose rings or any other body piercings which will be visible when wearing uniform under normal circumstances.
• Must not have any special dietary needs such as Kosher, vegetarian, organic foods only, etc.  We enjoy great, healthy meals but do not cater for individual crew preferences.
• Must be single and totally unencumbered – a boyfriend or girlfriend working on another yacht can easily cause a quick loss of crew if they find positions together on a yacht.
• MUST provide references WITH current contact details.
• Must be a team player.
• We have found that individuals from eastern European countries, whilst having a good work ethic, seem to have an approach to the yachting industry which does not blend well with our approach.  Based on this we elect not to consider candidates from Eastern European countries.
• We are looking for good, honest, clean cut, hard working and fun loving candidates who have a sense of responsibility.
• No party animals or ‘clock-watchers’ need apply.  We work and play hard – all within limits.
• Female candidates (especially) must keep their hair need and tidy at all times.

We offer medical insurance from day one and dental insurance after 3 months on board.  30 Days’ paid vacation after a year on board.   There are opportunities to do courses after a year on board.
