Position suitable for a team/couple.

We are seeking a Captain to join a newly purchased 45m MY preparing to launch a busy charter program in the United States. The vessel will operate in the States for the next year before repositioning to the Mediterranean, transitioning into a dual-season private/charter program.

The role:

  • Overall command and safe operation of a 45m motor yacht with an active charter schedule in the United States.
  • Lead the setup and operational readiness of the yacht, ensuring a smooth launch into charter service.
  • Manage all aspects of guest operations, delivering a high-end, professional charter experience.
  • Build, lead, and develop a cohesive and efficient crew onboard.
  • Oversee technical preparation and coordinate upcoming works to ensure the yacht is fully operational.
  • Plan and execute itineraries across US cruising grounds, with future repositioning to the Mediterranean.
  • Charter-focused program with strong guest interaction and operational demand.
  • Start date: ASAP but flexible for the right candidate.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum Master 500GT (essential).
  • Ideally previous Captain experience; however, strong candidates stepping up from senior roles will be considered.
  • Proven charter experience is essential.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Calm, professional leadership style with the ability to manage busy guest operations.
  • Technical knowledge highly advantageous given upcoming works and setup phase.
  • B1/B2 visa required.

What's on offer:

  • Salary: €14,000 per month.
  • Leave: 60 days.
  • Busy US charter program followed by a Mediterranean dual-season transition.

Open to a Captain/Chief Stew or Captain/Chef couple.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
