• Salary: €6,500 per month
• Per Diem (daily allowance): €25 per day

CONTRACT TYPE

This is ideally a permanent role; however, temporary cover for a few months will be considered at a higher rate of approximately €7,000 per month.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Chief Engineer to join a well-run 38m private motor yacht programme. The role includes a direct handover from the existing Chief Engineer to ensure continuity of systems, suppliers, and planned maintenance routines from day one.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Class III/2 CoC — Marine Chief Engineer Officer, Unlimited Power (CoC III/2, equivalent or higher required)
• STCW A-VI/1 — Personal Survival Techniques
• STCW A-VI/1-2 — Firefighting
• STCW A-VI/1-3 — First Aid
• STCW A-VI/1-4 — PSSR
• STCW PDSD — Proficiency in Designated Security Duties
• Valid ENG1 medical certificate
• Valid Schengen visa (no restrictions)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide expert technical and troubleshooting capability across all onboard systems
• Maintain and oversee main engines, generators, fuel polishing, watermakers, electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, onboard computers, hydraulics, and sanitation
• Design, implement and maintain a comprehensive planned preventative maintenance schedule across all major systems
• Manage and supervise engine repairs and overhauls to yard and manufacturer standards
• Prioritise and organise workflows around a private owner programme
• MTU engine experience strongly preferred
