We are seeking a Sole Chef for a 38m motor yacht based in France, responsible for delivering high-quality culinary experiences for the owner and guest (and crew) during the seasonal operation. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of meal preparation, menu planning, and inventory management, ensuring the use of fresh ingredients while adhering to dietary preferences and restrictions. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a compact galley environment are essential. The candidate should possess relevant culinary qualifications and experience in similar roles, demonstrating creativity and attention to detail in meal presentation. A commitment to maintaining cleanliness and adhering to safety standards is crucial. The role involves collaborating with the crew to create a harmonious working atmosphere while providing exceptional dining experiences during the vessel's local cruising itinerary. Proficiency in Mediterranean cuisine is preferred, and candidates must be flexible and adaptable to the dynamic nature of the position.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on cruise ships or yachts matching the following requirements:

  • Yacht sizes:  30-39m or 40-49m
  • Yacht types:  motor
  • Yacht uses:   private
  • Experience length:  min 2 years

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
