About This role

Couple position – Captain & Stewardess/Cook – Private/Charter 30m S/Y

An excellent opportunity for an experienced and professional couple to join a well-maintained 30m sailing yacht operating private and occasional charters. This is a hands-on role within a small, close-knit crew of four, offering strong owner interaction, a positive working environment, and a competitive package.

Base: Italy
Package: Salary paid in Euros, medical insurance, 30 days paid leave

Experience / Skills required

Captain

  • Minimum Master 200 GT
  • Minimum 1 year experience as Captain on sailing yachts of a similar size
  • Strong sailing background
  • Charter experience preferred
  • Confident managing owner relations and liaising with management
  • Safety-focused, organised, and calm under pressure

Stewardess / Cook

  • Minimum 1 year experience on sailing yachts of a similar size
  • Proven charter and guest service experience preferred
  • Confident cooking for owners and guests (fresh, simple, Mediterranean-style cuisine)
  • Strong housekeeping and service standards
  • Flexible, positive, and team-oriented attitude

Couple requirements

  • Previous experience working together onboard
  • Both candidates currently based in Europe
  • Professional, discreet, and collaborative approach

Qualifications required

  • Master 200 GT (Captain)
  • STCW (fully updated)
  • Seafarer’s Medical Certificate
  • Food hygiene certification (valid – Stewardess/Cook)
  • Seaman’s Discharge Book (preferred)

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
