A high profile 32m private expedition yacht is on the search for a sole chef to join their adventurous program.

The yacht is run with a full-time crew of 6 and the chef will cater for both guests and crew.

The yacht has a terrific reputation, with personable, friendly, accommodating owners and a fun, adventurous, professional crew dynamic.

The owner flies in/out on various locations with good down time in-between for R&R and re-provisioning.

Vessel movement plans over the next 12 months

  • May - Darwin / Kimberley
  • June, July, Aug - Kimberley / Darwin
  • Sep - QLD (gulf)
  • Oct, Nov - Cairns GBR
  • Dec - SYD
  • Jan, Feb, March – Shipyard QLD

The Chef

Male or female. Good chef experience is a must. Must be a happy team player who prepares fresh, healthy food. Candidate should be fit and fun; owners enjoy seafood. One of the owner’s sons is allergic to sesame products and most nuts, so the chef must be able to run a galley without those ingredients while he is onboard.

Must be well organised, able to provision accurately for longer trips, maintain a clean workstation and organised stores. Should demonstrate a diverse culinary range and have strong influence over menu selection to suit owners’ tastes.

The Particulars

  • Full time position (12 months)
  • $140,000 to 156,000 AUD / Year + super + 4 weeks paid holiday
  • One set of return flights home
  • Start date: March/April

The chef must have working rights for Australia / NZ.
