Temporary Chef 60m+

A great temporary opportunity for an experienced Chef to join a 60m+ private, family orientated yacht from mid-March to early May. This is an operational-focused role supporting crossings, audits, and vessel preparation, with the possibility of assisting during an owner’s trip.

The role

  • Managing galley operations at the end of a busy winter yard period.
  • Preparing the vessel for a guest trip ahead of the Travel Chef joining.
  • Assisting the Travel Chef during a potential owner’s trip in late April.
  • Maintaining high standards of organisation, hygiene, and efficiency.
  • Private single-season program.
  • Med-based cruising towards the end of April.
  • Start date 16th March, finishing 4th May (UK joining location).
  • Male candidates only due to cabin arrangements.
  • Must have your Ships Cook in hand.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous yacht experience on a similar size vessel as a Sous, Sole or Head Chef.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Flexible and professional approach during operational periods.
  • Calm, reliable, and adaptable personality.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
