GALLEY HAND 120M+ MY

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Galley Hand to join a 120m+, privately owned motor yacht. With wonderful Head Chefs and a supportive wider team, this is a great chance for a Chef newer to yachting to work within a high-profile program.

The role

  • Manage all aspects of galley maintenance and cleaning schedules, ensuring daily, weekly and monthly duties are completed to a high standard.
  • Work closely with the wider team of seven chefs who share a collaborative mindset in maintaining galley cleanliness.
  • Assist with some crew food if desired; this is optional and may be done when all other duties are completed.
  • Private programme operating dual season.
  • Start date: Start of March.

What we're looking for

  • Ideally 1+ year of yachting experience.
  • Experience on larger yachts, with 100m+ highly desired.
  • Formal culinary training or restaurant background advantageous.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
