About this role

Sole Chef – Private 46m M/Y

This is a fantastic seasonal opportunity for a culinary-trained Sole Chef to join a well-run 46m private motor yacht cruising the Mediterranean. The owners are food-focused and appreciate fresh, well-executed cuisine, with a strong emphasis on Mediterranean flavours and vegetarian options.

Start date: End of March – 30 October
Itinerary: Mediterranean
Package: Salary paid in Euros (D.O.E.)

Experience / Skills required:

  • Minimum 2 seasons’ experience as a Sole Chef on yachts or in luxury hospitality
  • Culinary trained with solid technical foundations
  • Strong Mediterranean cuisine knowledge (fresh, seasonal, well-presented)
  • Confident preparing vegetarian and plant-forward menus
  • Able to manage menu planning, provisioning, and galley operations independently
  • Organised, flexible, and calm under pressure
  • Positive attitude and good integration within a professional crew

Qualifications required:

  • STCW (fully updated)
  • Seafarer’s Medical Certificate
  • Food hygiene certification (valid)
  • Seaman’s Discharge Book (preferred)

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
