Temp Sous Chef 75m+

This is a short-term opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to join a private 75m+ yacht in January. The vessel follows a health and wellness-focused programme and would suit someone with similar interests. This is a well-run vessel with strong crew longevity, and the role has clear potential to become rotational for the right candidate.

The role:

  • Support guest food service while taking primary responsibility for high-quality, nutrition-focused crew meals
  • Step confidently into Sole Chef duties during quieter periods
  • Cook for 20+ crew, with a galley team of two while on trips
  • Assist with provisioning and day-to-day galley operations
  • Maintain high standards within a calm, organised galley
  • Private programme
  • Temporary contract of approximately three weeks
  • Start date: 7 January

What we're looking for:

  • Three-plus years' cooking experience in high-end restaurants and/or similar-sized yachts
  • Experience on 75m+ vessels preferred
  • Confident working independently and managing a galley solo when required
  • Strong understanding of healthy, balanced crew food; nutritional knowledge is advantageous
  • Baking and pastry skills are a bonus
  • Flexible, reliable, and a genuine team player

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
