We are currently looking for a Remote Class 1 Engineer to join a:

Our client a a pioneering remote engineering service for the yachting industry, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Class 1 Engineer to join our innovative team. They deliver cutting-edge assisted reality (aR) solutions, real-time monitoring, and digital standard operating procedures (SOPs) to provide unparalleled technical support to yacht owners and managers worldwide. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely, leveraging your expertise to enhance yacht maintenance, refit operations, and crew performance without the need for on-site.

Key Responsibilities will be 

  • Provide 24/7 remote engineering support using assisted reality headset technology, delivering diagnostics, troubleshooting, and project planning to onboard crews.
  • Conduct virtual oversight for warranty management, refit preparation, and project management, ensuring seamless execution from afar.
  • Assist with the set up and monitoring of Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS) and Alarm Monitoring Systems (AMS), delivering clear monthly reporting to clients.
  • Develop and implement QR code-based inspection routines, guiding crew through structured maintenance checks.
  • Create and refine SOPs, providing hands-on crew training via aR overlays to elevate onboard engineering standards.
  • Source spare parts and manage technical procurement, ensuring timely availability for yacht operations.
  • Collaborate with a team of former master mariners, captains, surveyors, naval architects, and Class 1 engineers to deliver expert solutions.
  • Minimize downtime, improve compliance, and accelerate refit and warranty processes through proactive technical assistance.
  • Fluency in English, enabling effective communication with diverse crews and clients

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
