Silver Swan is currently seeking an experienced and reliable Private Chef to support a UHNW family during the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. This is a short-term live-in assignment from 19th–23rd January 2026, providing full culinary service for the Principal, their guests, and the household team.

The successful candidate will oversee all food preparation throughout the event period, delivering exceptional cuisine under high-pressure conditions. You will cater for both formal receptions and daily in-house dining, ensuring consistency, discretion, and quality at all times.

You will be supported by a kitchen assistant and will be responsible for maintaining smooth service across multiple sittings throughout each day. Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract.

Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare high-end canapés and finger food for evening events (60–80 guests) on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
  • Cater Thursday’s outdoor snow event with hot soup, Glühwein, and tea for 30–50 guests
  • Provide daily team meals including a breakfast buffet and one hot dish per day
  • Deliver refined breakfast and lunch service for the Principals in the dining room
  • Prepare and serve dishes for private meetings and guest hospitality within the chalet
  • Maintain impeccable kitchen organisation and hygiene throughout the week
  • Source and manage ingredients efficiently under tight timeframes
  • Ensure seamless coordination with service staff for all event timings
  • Manage kitchen assistant effectively to optimise service delivery
  • Uphold the highest standards of discretion and professionalism at all times

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a private chef or event chef within UHNW households or luxury hospitality
  • Expertise in high-end canapé, buffet, and plated dining preparation
  • Calm, fast, and highly organised under pressure
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Able to adapt quickly to changing service demands
  • Professional, discreet, and guest-focused
  • Available for the full assignment period (19th–23rd January 2026)

Package:

  • Working schedule: Full-time, intensive hours throughout the event period
  • Accommodation provided
  • All meals during contract included
  • Salary: €8,000 – €8,500 for the duration 

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
